We work with Business Intelligence, predictive analysis, Big Data, visualisation and data-driven decision making and help our clients in both operational and strategic areas. One moment we’re producing analyses of huge volumes of data and the next we’re showing the client’s management team what it needs to do to improve profitability. 

We take responsibility for the entire value chain, from development of the database to creation of valuable insights which we then communicate to the rest of the organisation via user-friendly applications. 

We are experts in a broad set of technologies but are especially fond of the Microsoft Technology Stack linked to Business Intelligence (SSIS, SSMS, MS SQL and Power BI). For Machine Learning application, we use Python and R and associated libraries, such as Tensorflow, Scikit learn and Pandas to name just a few.

For generations, people have been taught to make good use of the resources that are available to them, only save what is essential and keep their belongings in order. Traditionally, good decisions have been based on a healthy mix of facts and feelings. This has now changed fundamentally: 

These boundaries are being erased by state-of-the-art data visualisation tools and advanced methods of prediction. It is now possible to follow a business in real time. It is easy to obtain an overview and possible to dig deeper to find root causes. Data-driven decision making does not need to be complicated and time-consuming. Data-driven decision making will gradually build expertise and improve the decision maker’s gut instinct. Simply put, it’s a win-win! 

With the exponential development of hardware, combined with technologies such as Machine Learning, Big Data and structured data warehouses (BI), entirely new possibilities are emerging. 

AI and Machine Learning

AI and Machine Learning are on everyone’s lips. But what do these terms actually mean? Artificial Intelligence performs tasks that were previously only accomplished by humans, and more. Common applications involve managing vast volumes of data, such as customer information & behaviour, speech, images, videos and large amounts of text. AI can perform repetitive tasks 24/7 consistently and without getting tired. Furthermore, AI improves the possibilities for different forms of prediction, such as predicting when a customer is likely to leave or when a machine is likely to break down. 

Machine Learning is a form of AI, whereby an AI is taught to act in a certain way, either by imputing practice data or through continuous learning. AI is not new. Although AI existed 20 years ago, it is very different today due to the exponential advances that have taken place in computational power and storage capacity. This has made AI more accessible and has given a considerable boost to the development of libraries and APIs.

No one knows what the future holds, but it is clear that AI (Artificial Intelligence) is an interesting, powerful and valuable tool. A tool that needs quality assurance, but which can also be used to improve the quality of the development process. 

Questions that we need to answer: How does the system learn? What data should the system learn from? How do you test a moving target?
